Recently, it was discovered that a digital currency scam called the "Bitcoin Era" goes on to attract many targets with new techniques, including the use of the names of Tesla founder Elon Musk and Hollywood star Daniel Craig, according to Business Insider.

The cryptocurrency industry has faced a lot of puzzling and mixed reactions, especially on social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook, and this has forced the CEO of SpaceX, Elon Reeve Musk to share his personal position on some digital currencies especially Bitcoin (BTC) – during a podcast on January 20, 2020.

Giant technology entrepreneur Elon Reeve Musk recently shown his strong support for cryptocurrency and Blockchain-friendly United States (US) 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate Andrew Yang. The CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX, has always expressed his endless support for disruptive technologies like distributed ledger tech and cryptoassets including Bitcoin, TRON, etc.  On Saturday last week, Elon tweeted his support for Andrew following the comment by political podcaster Dan Carlin on Andrew’s leadership abilities.

Elon Musk, CEO SpaceX and Tesla, asked the creator of Dogecoin, Jackson Palmer, to assist him in fighting the "vexatious" Crypto scammers and swindlers on Twitter in a tweet on September 17.

Elon Musk, the maniac, the myth, the brick, the legend? Whatever you take him to be, you can't deny that he has an ill-famed presence within crypto. According to recent reports, he's now on the bandwagon of Ethereum, although he is suspicious that it could be a scam.

Twitter has begun locking every illegal and unverified account that alter their name and identity to Elon Musk in a bullish struggle to fight a rash of crypto scammers.

Richard Branson, Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Group has warned the public using his twitter handle and official Virgin website against the dangers of fake bitcoin scam. According to his current blog post "Beware of fake bitcoin scam stories," he expresses his interest in bitcoin scam fairytales, especially those involving his name.

Scammers' posts have recently been posted straight under verified updates from Elon Musk, John McAfee, 50 Cent, Vitalik Buterin, Charlie Lee, and major cryptocurrency firms like Coinbase and  CoinMarketCap, and even president of the US - Donald Trump. Fraudsters use almost identical usernames to those celebrities in the hopes of being accepted as real.
