Yesterday, August 10, the Bitcoin price soared to $600, and then dropped to $593.  The reason for this growth was the resumption of BTC trading at the Bitfinex Exchange.

Because of the hack of the Bitfinex exchange on August 2, all cryptocurrencies this week fell. Litecoin’s price fell to the lowest level of the month, but a day later it began recovering as did the other cryptocurrencies.

On August 2, 2016 18:16 UTC Bitfinex, Bitcoin and Altcoin exchange announced that it is dealing with a security breach that affects some of its Bitcoin wallet balances. Trading on Bitfinex is halted as well as Bitcoin and Altcoin withdrawals and deposits.
