The government commission will decide the fate of cryptocurrency in India. For a long time the issue of cryptocurrencies legalization has been an urgent topic for the government and Indian FinTech community. It was the reason for gathering of, a government commission that will deliver a verdict about legality of bitcoin and other currencies. Committee meeting is scheduled for the twentieth of April. In case of a negative decision, crypto exchanges will have to close. Jaideep Reddy, Technology Lawyer at consulting firm Nishith Desai commented: “It is not likely that the government, in promoting technology, innovation, and financial inclusion, will resort to a knee-jerk ban of bitcoin as such. No major economy has done this”.

Price of Litecoin tokens suddenly jumped up. Litecoin price more than doubles in past three days, rising from around $4.30 to just under $9.46 on poloniex on April 3. The rise started approximately on March 30, when litecoin jumped to $7.90. Last time it traded on this level in July 2015. Charlie Lee, the founder of the cryptocurrency, kiddingly commented the unexpected rise, twitting that $4 peg technology is flawed. As for now, the last LTC trade amounted to $9.3 on bitfinex.

Google Checked the Security of Android

Google conducted a research about security of keeping currencies on Android. The company's specialists calculated that the probability of being struck twice with a lightning bolt is higher than downloading an application-lugger on Android. Ripple To Enhance Cross-border Transactions

Serbian Criminal Demanded a Ransom in Bitcoins

Extortion of bitcoins caused a resonance in Serbia. Momsilo Djinovik can receive ten years imprisonment, for extortion twenty four bitcoins from the 20th Century Fox. The suspect threatened to publish an illegal copy of the film on the Internet, which could inflict major damage to kino company. Momsilo Djinovik was arrested in Belgrade in mid-March and accused with extortion. The incident caused a wide resonance in the mass media, showing that most people do not know anything about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

But in her opinion, it will hardly replace fiat money.
