The digital currency market has settled after a frantic 24-hour time caused by the hasty rise in the price of Bitcoin (BTC).

Switzerland is planning to tokenize its national currency, responding to USDT and El Petro. The idea behind this new stablecoin is rather traditional for the sector - to combine all the pros of a cryptocurrency and eliminate its main shortcoming - high volatility.

The Bitcoin price has fallen like a stone by over 2% within just 30 minutes from $7,400 to $6,950, forcing tokens and other significant Cryptos to register large losses. Moreover, the downfall continued within the next hours, and presently BTC price is as low as $6,452.

The latest investigation done by University of Texas researchers claims to disclose exact facts and evidence of he meteoric rise of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in late 2017.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has sent subpoenas to the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges Bitfinex and Tether as there are significant questions surrounding the value of their tokens.

Tether announced the launch of a new crypto euro-coin EURT, issued on the Omni Layer protocol. The new decentralized coin allows the transfer of digital assets priced in USD into Euros cheaper over the Bitcoin Blockchain.
