Bitcoin Unlimited works with new XPool

Bitcoin Unlimited will work with a new pool. Chandler Guo, a well-known bitcoiner in China, is about to take his current hashrate of around 50 petahash (1.5% of the network) out of BW.com and into a new Xpool, which will mine with Bitcoin Unlimited. Guo has revealed a plan to raise 12 million ETC (ethereum classic) in an ICO to increase the pool’s hashrate to around 120 petahash (around 4% of the network). This condition would send Bitcoin Unlimited to nearly 30%.

Bitcoin's price grows again

Bitcoin's price beats new records. Bitcoin breached $1,050 amid a near-3% increase on 7th of February. According to the CoinDesk’s Bitcoin Price Index (BPI), this data became the highest point marked since the 6th January 2017. Also it is the highest among all-time highs set in late 2013. According to data from Bitcoinity, the market is up since three major China-based exchanges began imposing fees on bitcoin trades.

Digital currencies as a choice of modern cities

Cities will choose digital currencies over fiat money. Pavel Bains, CEO and co-founder of Bluzelle, a company providing a suite of blockchain-powered applications aimed to accelerate financial inclusion, in his article for CoinDesk argues, that national currencies do not work in the interests of all country's urban areas, predicting that soon cities will make a leap to their own, digital, currencies. Author also predicts that Scottish city of Glasgow is to become the first major city to issue its own currency.

The world's first digital Ambassador

Denmark became the first country to appoint a digital Ambassador. It will represent Denmark's interests in the world's largest technology companies such as Google, Apple and Microsoft. Moreover, the Danish Central Bank is considering the use of blockchain to create a digital currency, E-Krone, what will result in the reduction of transaction costs of micropayments. These innovations contribute towards the transition of the country`s economy to the cashless settlements.

France stimulates the development of blockchain

France`s Central Bank will test blockchain start-ups. The Central Bank of France aims to expand its work with blockchain technologies and FinTech. This was stated by governor of the French Central Bank Villeroy de Galhau on the Paris FinTech Forum. In order to stimulate blockchain and FinTech industry, French Central Bank opens an innovation laboratory, in which it’s representatives, along with blockchain developers, will be able to test and explore a number of promising startups.

ChronoBank partners with NEM

ChronoBank cooperates with NEM to launch a ChronoNEM wallet. ChronoBank, an ambitious blockchain project that takes aim at the inefficient recruitment sector, is partnering with the versatile NEM cryptocurrency platform to create a separate wallet for the NEM ecosystem. ChronoBank will also issue Labour Hour (LH) tokens on the NEM network and use on-chain multi-sig, one of NEM’s flagship security features.
