Microsoft and KPMG to study blockchain

New blockchain researches in Europe and Asia. The technology giant Microsoft teams up with the global network firm KPMG International to launch several blockchain workspaces in Frankfurt and Singapore. This partnership is aimed to research and develop blockchain applications and apply them into real-world functioning. Eamonn Maguire, global lead for KPMG says: «The Blockchain Nodes will enable us to work directly with clients to discover and test new market ideas, creating and implementing prototype solutions that use this innovative technology.»

The representatives of companies noted that trial would find the solutions that are commercially viable and able to reduce the cost of energy. CEO of Wien Energie Michael Strebl stated: «Blockchain technology is a further digitization trend in the energy industry. We want to make use of the technology and its chances for our customers and us». The trial is expected to last from March to May of this year.
