Developer of "Assassin's Creed" Enters the Blockchain Tech Gaming Alliance

The alliance is made in a manner that every entity can share knowledge and work together with others on research to assist in constructing a foundation for blockchain tech gaming.

Ubisoft, the French gaming giant that is responsible for flagship series such as Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, has finally joined the Blockchain Tech Game Alliance, a coalition of gaming and distributed ledger technology (DLT) firms made to take blockchain to the gaming industry.

There are presently 9 firms and foundations that are active within this alliance, including Ubisoft. Other remarkable names include Ultra, ConsenSys and Enjin. 

“We believe that by supporting each other and by having some of the brightest minds in the industry facilitate research and development, together we can drive disruptive change and deliver a fully fledged and improved user experience,” said Nicolas Gilot, co-CEO of Ultra. 

Overlap Between Gaming & Crypto Markets 

The alliance is made in a manner that every entity can share knowledge and work together with others on research to assist in constructing a foundation for blockchain tech gaming. The alliance was proclaimed at the formal beginning of Blockchain Game Summit on Tue Sept 25. 

Given the major intersect between the gaming and digital currency markets, several people see the master key to vast adoption of DLT as tied to games. The players behind Loom Network, a DLT ecosystem for games and several social apps, think that the first killer dApp to get 1 million, or even 100,000 users will assist laying the ground for adoption all over the whole sector. 

While integrating DLT into gaming is still in its babyship, the combined expertise of the " Blockchain Tech Game Alliance" should assist offer central guidance on the journey ahead.
