The co-founder of Skype, Jaan Tallinn, believes that Blockchain technology can save humanity by solving society’s biggest problems.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Jaan Tallinn, the co-founder of the famous chat and calls application Skype, stated that he is now working on a new project. He has spent a year studying Blockchain technology and its principles that help secure Bitcoin transactions. Mr. Tallinn came to the conclusion that the same technology could help to save our society.

Mr. Tallinn commented

“The interesting thing about blockchain is that it has made it possible for humanity to reach a consensus about a piece of data without having any authority to dictate it. Imagine if you could use this to solve bigger problems that require global co-ordination.”
