According to the results, 75% of the people chose to receive crypto as their monetary gift at Christmas and this is a clear indication of the buoyant market.

The Insight Chain (INB), a distributed ledger technology (DLT)-based research chain, recently rolled out a follow-up to the Bank of England’s poll of the best monetary gift at Christmas among the general public.

According to the results, 75% of the people chose to receive crypto as their monetary gift at Christmas and this is a clear indication of the buoyant market. The number of votes was 16,799.

Crypto Gift at Christmas

On December 17, the Bank of England (BoE) rolled out a poll, asking participants “If you receive money as a gift at Christmas, what’s your favourite way to get it.” The BoE listed 4 options, including digital currency, bank transfer, cash and gift voucher.

The percentages for cash was 18%, that of bank transfer was 5% and gift voucher was 2%. Another significant indicator exposing public interest in cryptoasset is the Google trend search history. The search history shows that BTC search results are at their pinnacle since the beginning of April.

Several people commented that not all the crypto they would prefer to get, they only need Bitcoin (BTC). Remarks on Ripple are divided into extremes, some investors voted Ripple and on the other side investors commented that Ripple is their least preferred crypto.

This prospect leads to a hot debate within the digital currency ecosystem and the INB has carried out a follow-up survey to make a lot of efforts with the available resources.

Willingness to Invest in Crypto

INB received around 448 valid questionnaires via its Insight dApp. The result shows that 77.7% of partakers hope that the result of the initial prospect indicate investors are anticipating a digital currency market recovery sooner or later.

Nevertheless, when asked the same query, around 40.8% of partakers prefer cash as the most favourite monetary gift and 24.3% of participants chose crypto. Furthermore, around 54.2% of partakers said that they largely hold digital assets for investment.

The public is much willing and able to give digital currency a try since it is gradually turning to a conventional financial product.

As this year ends, less hope is seen among the crypto maniacs since the adoption and price are not increasing as expected. But others are optimistic that 2019 will be a fertile year for crypto developments.
