Hacken Community Launch the First Ever Grey Hat Hacker Competition, with 35,000 USDT in Prizes

Hacken Community offers a competition

The Hacken community, led by its leading investor Leo Andreo have launched the “Grey Hat Hackers Ideas Competition”. The first-of-its-kind initiative offers a great opportunity for budding cybersecurity thinkers to help their community and be in the running for some serious prize money at the same time.

Help the cyber community and win 

Anyone can enter the competition and submit their ideas (Jan 19th to Jan  31th) to have a chance to win 1 Million HAI. (worth 30,000 USDT at the time of writing) In addition, Leo Andreo will give away an additional special prize of $5,000 USDT

Although choosing to remain anonymous, Leo Andreo (an experienced blockchain entrepreneur) is one of the biggest investors of Hacken from its launch back in September 2017 and now works on developing the Hacken ecosystem. Mr Andreo has taken a lead role in the competition, and will be providing over half the prize pool money personally.

The First Grey Hat Hackers Ideas Competition will offer participants the chance to win 1,000,000 HAI. (currently worth $30,000 USDT) Hacken and Leo Andreo will each provide 50% of the total prize money, which will be split between the top 3 winners of the competition. Leo Andreo will also be offering a special prize of $5,000 USDT which will be awarded to the most outstanding idea that can be turned to “a white side”.

Prize pool breakdown

The 1,000,00 HAI prize pool breakdown for the Grey Hat Hackers Ideas Competition will be as follows:

  • 1st place – By Leo Andreo and the Hacken core team. Prize – 600,000 HAI

  • 2nd place – By the 4th level members of Hacken. Prize – 300,000 HAI  

  • 3rd place  – By Hacken community members. Prize – 100,000 HAI  

  • Special prize from Hacken investor Leo Andreo – 5,000 USDT

Hacken CEO Dyma Budorin commented on the vision behind the pioneering competition, stating:

"We are moving to a new level. I am sure that the idea of creating a cryptocurrency used to be unrealizable. Today, we invite hackers from all over the world to take part in the First Grey Hat Hackers Ideas Competition and we are ready to support the brightest and seemingly unattainable ideas”.

How to participate

Anyone with a unique Idea can join the competition. Not only will all ideas be helping the cyber community to combat crime, but participants will put themselves in the running to win some of the 1,000.000 HAI total prize pool, and the additional $5,000 USDT special prize provided my Mr Andreo

Hacken strongly advises participants to  attach pitch deck, plus a video (up to 3 mins) pitch of the idea. Ideas must have some relation to cybersecurity. Any ideas copied from existing projects will not be considered. 

Participants must send their idea via this form on the website. Ideas have to be submitted until 11:59 pm Jan 31 (UTC+02:00).

Judging process

In the interest of fair results the valuation of the submitted ideas will be conducted by the core Hacken team members and Mr Andreo between February 1st and February 3rd, 2021, with the semi-finalists announced on the 3rd. 

Projects innovative enough to reach the semi-finals will participate, within a week (Feb5th-11th) in Fireside chats on the Official Hacken Club Telegram. From the February 5th to 11th voting will be cast to decide the winners.
