In a heartwarming show of solidarity from the crypto community, Bitcoin-led casino Bitcasino, along with The Giving Block -- a renowned name in charity -- present the D3 (Donate, Dance, Decentralize) virtual concert, a music and dance digital event to raise funds in support of efforts to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s iteration of the Bitcoin Tuesday event, the crypto embodiment of Giving Tuesday Now celebrated every year on May 5th, featured a live streaming concert on May 5th 2020, lasting for four hours in the late evening North American time.

Streamed over Twitch TV at https://www.twitch.tv/givingtuesday, the concert showcased the talents of popular US composer illGates, American DJ Kill Paris, electronic dance producer 3LAU and remixer RAC. As users watched, listened, and dance, they also had the option to donate funds in crypto to 29 different charities including No Kid Hungry, Save the Children, Tor Project, Justice and Care, and Hope for Haiti.

Along with a host of other industry players, communities, and leaders, the virtual charity concert hopes to raise more funds to pay for much-needed relief to frontliners battling the virus, caring for patients affected by them, and providing support to others impacted by the pandemic.

Bitcasino, as a crypto-led gaming provider, has been steadily supporting all kinds of charities, such as the #TeamTrees event last year to fight the climate crisis, but now, this charitable act may be its most important yet, according to Bitcasino Director of Casino Tauri Tiitsaar, who also said that the establishment had always been together with the crypto community in any such undertaking. Tauri stated:

“The human crisis we’re witnessing is something we’ve never been challenged with before and everyone has been under so much stress, but together we’re stronger in these unprecedented times. Bitcasino has always considered itself a fun, fast and fair crypto company and by partnering with GivingTuesday we feel that we can help make a difference, and bring more generosity to the world.”

The concert marks the end of a 3-week fundraiser that was run by Bitcasino itself. Its ‘Crypto vs COVID-19’ has seen hundreds of players donate their unused loyalty rewards to aid those most affected by COVID-19, and as a result, Bitcasino hopes to be able to match those totals to complete the $100,000 fundraising goal of Bitcoin Tuesday’s #cryptoCOVID19.

The virtual charity event is part of this year’s Giving Tuesday Now global observation day for unity and giving. It hopes to incite global generosity, leveraging the power of people and organizations to transform their respective communities from the ground up.

Bitcasino is proud to support this aid event, and has contributed sponsorship funds to organize the virtual concert with a short turnaround time, with any leftover funds given straight to the supported charities.
