University College Oxford has officially established a new big centre for Blockchain technology research.
The new infrastructure will be headed by Professor Bill Roscoe, who has 30 years of research experience in payment protocols, concurrency, applied cryptography and automated verification.
The University College Oxford Blockchain Research Centre, in collaboration with many other major institutions across the globe, will primarily carry out thorough research on economic, technological, business and all legal aspects of Blockchain technology.
Prof. Roscoe said that the new centre will aim at bringing blockchain technology to the mainstream and in order to achieve this vision green mining technology will be used plus welcoming regulation via felicitous Know Your Client (KYC) guidelines.
University College Oxford was founded in the year 1249 and is said to be the oldest College of Oxford University. It has produced many bright people with high profiles including Bill Clinton, Clement Attlee and Prof. Stephen Hawking.
