Swiss-based exchange Trade.io has underlined its commitment to going above and beyond accepted security standards by ensuring an early implementation of a full-feature security program for its soon-to-be-launched cryptocurrency exchange platform.
Its defences had already been put up even during the token sale phase, ensuring that rigid security measures successfully fought off numerous malicious attacks and attempted hacks on its users and website.
Earlier in the year, Trade.io had already engaged world-class security personnel to enhance cybersecurity and to ensure a robust, strengthened platform that users could trust and rely on the keep safe their funds and accounts.
This has resulted in the immediate implementation of the high-level features. These include multi-layered user sign in protection with multiple authentication methods, with secured user communications enforced, proprietary algorithms for the security of exchange funds and wallet architecture, as well as banking-grade security monitoring systems to quickly detect and prevent malicious activity related to the platform, user accounts or internal systems.
Trade.io has also engaged internal and external experts compliant with international standards and methodologies, such as the NIST framework, to deploy best practices such as extensive risk assessments, penetration tests, architecture reviews and code review processes. All internal systems are also using top-tier security products, with its in-house cybersecurity professionals are also monitoring the platform round the clock to aggressively clamp down on any anomalies detected.
At every step of the development, whether design, implementation or testing, integrated cybersecurity is crucial.
Trade.io head of security Ari Propper explained that the technologies employed by the company are industry leaders in detection, protection and response. He said that its team of experts possessed significant know-how and were veteran cybersecurity experts that continues to consult, review and test the relevancy of cybersecurity tech thanks to their intimate knowledge and industry network:
“We are treating cyber defence as an ongoing process and integrating it in all of the development and business activities.”
Charles Voltron, chief technology officer for Trade.io, underlined their holistic approach in security, working to build employee awareness to prepare them for cyber events in tandem with defence tactics deployed on the exchange, all to protect business processes and internal technologies:
“When it comes to security, the Trade.io team is firm on not cutting any corners and is committed to having an exchange that clients feel safe using.”
