Decentralized video content and sharing platform, Viuly, continues to make great strides in its bid to disintermediate and decentralize content creators and viewers. The platform has received a massive boost in the arm from its participation at the Block O2O and subsequent FinTech O2O conferences. The gathering brought the best and the brightest established in the industry to Hong Kong on May 8th to discuss the state of the industry, future prospects, and development.
Hosted in the heart of the entertainment and fashion district, in Soho, Hong Kong, Block O2O and Fintech O2O is the premier gathering for renowned entrepreneurs, visionary engineers, industrialists, economists and regulators. Over a hundred investors and 1800 delegates from 30 different countries graced the event to listen to a hundred speakers delivering insight, analysis, and developmental update during the two day long event.
Viuly’s presentation was not only a highlight of the whole event, but it also afforded the team the unique opportunity to pitch their solution to potential investors and partners from all over the globe.
Igor Glavatskiy, Zahid Ali and Andrei Druta took to the stage to present the project’s achievements so far over the last four months and what the rest of the year had in store for them. Afterwards, they were able to network with global investors and stakeholders interested in keying into the future of video content distribution on the blockchain.
Viuly’s team was able to take the opportunity of its presence in Hong Kong to visit the headquarters of the world’s biggest crypto exchange by volume, OKEx. The team were able to meet with the highly-skilled and talent personnel of the leading firm and were warmly received.
Leveraging blockchain technology, Viuly is changing the face of video content sharing, by providing faster and smarter ways of sharing and monetizing content without third-party interferences.
By eliminating middlemen, Viuly is eradicating the clogs and bottleneck that has been limiting the potentials of the industry, allowing content creators to finally monetize their content without paying heavy commission fees. More money for creators means more motivation to keep creating quality contents for the public. Viewers are not left out of this rewarding ecosystem too as they are rewarded for watching ads by advertisers and brands. Without middlemen, advertisers not only get to run their ads cheaply, but also effectively target their demographics.
All exchanges and interactions on the platform is governed by smart contracts and powered by the platform’s native VIU token. The development team recently airdropped 20 VIU token per 1 ETH held on every privately owned Ethereum address during a campaign that lasted five days.
Viuly has also recently released the alpha version of its platform to the public, recording over a million users already and 76,000 channels.
