Top Fastest Growing Cryptocurrencies in May

Last month the capitalization of the whole market rose from $36.585 billion to $82.76 billion. Following the skyrocket of the Bitcoin price that in May rose by 70% from $1347 to $2290 per BTC, several altcoins have also managed to overcome new psychological levels.

In the 31 days of May lots of coins managed to double their price. Ethereum (ETH) managed to rise by 194% from $78 to a top of $231, Ripple (XRP) grew by 368% from $0.05 to $0.24, NEM (XEM) grew by 297% from $0.05 to $0.20, Ethereum Classic (ETC) grew by 169% from $6.61 to $17.79, and Litecoin (LTC) grew by 62% from $15 to $25.

The top of the fastest growing altcoins in May: Stratis, Stellar Lumens, Waves

Several altcoins were able to ride even higher. The report of the top cryptocurrencies in May by  Bithub.pl points out that the May’s top cryptocurrency is Stratis with a 611% return rate. From May 1 to May 31, the Stratis price has grown from $0.73 to $5.21. Stratis has shown such a trend for more than two months now – since April 1, Stratis rose by 2525%!

Second place of the fastest growing coins in May belongs to Stellar Lumens, which gave a 602% return rate.

Third place goes to Waves with price growth of 390%.
